A whole new way to NIPT

With our high-throughput Vanadis® NIPT solution, we’re taking all the complexity out of cell-free DNA (cfDNA) testing, making it accessible to more women – and more cost-effective for your laboratory. This breakthrough technology eliminates PCR amplification and gene sequencing, and it’s so easy to use that one laboratory technician can handle 2000 to 20 000 samples per year. Walkaway automation streamlines the process from primary tube to final results. Because Vanadis system is an easy to use, non-NGS and non-PCR based method,  any laboratory can use it.

What makes Vanadis NIPT unique?

Automated Workflow from Primary Tube to Final Result

With Vanadis technology, all the critical steps are automated, starting with pipetting steps to reduce manual errors. Plasma volumes are monitored by camera to avoid contamination by the buffy coat, and samples and reagents are barcoded for complete tracking throughout the workflow.

Minimum hands-on time

Apart from sample centrifugation steps, hands-on time can be as short as 40 minutes, depending on number of samples being tested.

Vanadis® NIPT system includes System Software and trusted LifeCycle™ software, the complete data management solution for prenatal screening laboratories. With a simple and flexible user interface and a performance monitoring dashboard that enables access from any current Web browser, these softwares provide the reliability and support laboratories can rely on.

  • Remote workflow management

Software guides and monitors your workflow – from sample identification and processing, demographic data entry, result acceptance, risk calculation, quality assessment to reporting.
  • Patient demographics

Patient demographics can be directly entered into LifeCycle™ software or data can be transferred from an existing laboratory information management system.
  • Process monitoring and quality assessment

Operator can monitor the progress of a patient sample at any time. Fully automated quality assessment with pre-defined limits. Software suggests to approve or reject samples/ runs based on quality assessment criteria.
  • Data analysis and risk calculation

Results are linked automatically with patient data. Results are signed and risks calculated within seconds. Signed and calculated risks are reported on customizable patient reports.
